Question: Evangelion ruined me, want to recover and watch it again, need some advice!?

This may sound odd but it's the sad truth, when I was 11 purchased the complete Neon Genesis Evangelion set and watched the entire thing over the summer. I really liked it, but the show made me extremely depressed to the point where I was fearful of going to places so I was isolating myself. I even had to get home schooled for a year.

Now 17 years old and completely healed with a normal teenage life, I want to go up against Eva and try to watch it, but I'm hesitant because it might make me feel "depressed" once more. Please, I really enjoyed the show and need some thoughtfull advice on how to watch it without feeling the "bad memories of the past."

Answer: just think about it in the present and maybe because you are older things that were depressing at 11 will not be that bad at 17.
